FBX is the next big thing in flight simulator software, by FSXTAXI2GATE. There are two versions of the software package available on Steam: FBX TAXI2GATE, which contains all the aircraft and gate locations for my favorite airport in Mexico City; and MMMXXX MEXICO CITY XTREME RIP which includes planes from New York JFK International Airport through Bali to Tashkent. If you want to take a jet setter's tour of the world but only have $30, this is your game! As an indie game developer with a passion for flight simulators, I've been playing different games on Steam since I was fifteen years old. However, I am not a programmer. I'm guessing about 75% of the FBX series are made by programmers, so I had to do the coding myself. This is largely an exercise in figuring out how things work. After that first go-round, I decided it would be fun to make my own game too, and after spending more time on it, I've come to like it. FBX TAXI2GATE (and all the aircraft) are freely available for use by anybody who has some talent with flight simulators and knows some programming. I'm not making any money from this. You can get the latest version of the FBX TAXI2GATE package from my Steam store link: http://store.steampowered.com/app/809490b0b0a5aafd4f9c30ef6fc95fe1/ It requires a relatively new computer running Windows Vista or Windows 7 (recommended). The FBX software and my guide is available for free on this Web site: http://www.fsxtaxi2gate. com. However, you may want to get the latest version of the FBX software from Steam for this airport to work correctly. The Airport is based mainly on LEX International Airport, but also contains bits of Benito Juarez International Airport and other airports in Mexico. The majority of the taxiways are based on LEX, but the northern end of main runway 18R at Benito Juarez has been moved south to join with runway 05-23. It was originally located at DFW airport in Dallas, Texas. Here are links to more information about this airport: http://www.lexairport. com.mx/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benito_Ju%C3%A1rez_International_Airport http://www.airport-data.com/airport/MXBS These links aren't part of my guide, but I'd like to mention them for anyone who'd like to know more: http://www.airport-data.com/airport/MXBS http://www.virtual-planes.net The package comes with a PDF file that provides you with all the gate and taxiway information needed for any aircraft currently available on the Steam store (see below). cfa1e77820
